What better way to stimulate a palate for great, drinkable wines than a long career of business travel and entertaining at some of the finest restaurants around the world? I found out early in my career that clients and prospective clients really appreciated someone who knew how to order a nice wine with their dinners.
I quickly realized that the best way to learn was to just try different wines, often taking the suggestions of the "professionals". I kept an open mind, learned a lot about wine, and had a great time doing it. What really struck me was that there really wasn't that much to the "mystique" of wines, once I learned a few basics.
More important to you, my valued customers, I discovered there are many, many great tasting wines for $10 to $20 a bottle, and I've brought them to Wicker Park.
I personally selected a variety of reds, whites, sparkling, and even dessert wines, along with incredible local, regional and international craft beers and liquors and fine spirits -- always looking for good value, just like I do when buying wine for myself. Division St. Come and sample several varietals of wines and our featured vodka with our state of the art WineStation to sample new wines every few days.
